Mar 23, 2015 02:05PM ● By Brenna Mc Gowan
Last year the
music of Pink Floyd rocked capacity audiences at the Harris Center for
the Arts with Greatest Hits and Rarities Part II.
Due to the
overwhelmingly positive feedback, this year marks the third Harris
Center presentation of The Pink Floyd Experience! This year the group
has crafted a brand new, exciting Floyd fan experience, 4 Sides of
Floyd, complete with a dazzling new light show, giant screen HD Video,
full quadraphonic sound and six brilliant musicians dedicated to
bringing you the most authentic Floyd experience possible.
The
music of Pink Floyd is more than simply an echo of days past. Pink
Floyd continues to gain new fans today. Nearly 1,000,000 Pink Floyd
catalog albums are sold each year worldwide.
On average, more than 8,000 copies of Dark Side of the Moon are scanned each week in the U.S. alone, and "Wish You Were Here" and "The Wall" are also stalwarts on the Billboard Top Pop Catalog chart. Since then, the band's contemporary fans have long since replaced, or added to their vinyl Pink Floyd collections with CD versions. Clearly new generations are discovering the intense, cinematic, epic rock of Pink Floyd.
The Pink Floyd Experience! is a celebration of the music, the themes and the innovation that this great band brought to fans around the world. It is Pink Floyd, up close and personal without losing the scope and power of their performance.
The
Pink Floyd Experience! 4 Sides of Floyd will take place on Monday,
March 30, and Tuesday, March 31, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $39-$59;
Premium $69.
Tickets are available online at harriscenter.net or from Harris Center Ticket Office at 916-608-6888 from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday through Saturday, and two hours before show time. Parking is included in the price of the ticket. Harris Center is located on the west side of Folsom Lake College campus in Folsom, facing East Bidwell Street.
