October brings more than just the changing of leaves and cooler weather. Local artists, scientists, crafters and tinkerers will attend the area’s greatest show-and-tell event, the Rocklin Mini Maker Faire, on October 3 at Sierra College from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The City of Rocklin, along with Sierra College, Placer Arts 360, and the Hacker Lab are hosting the family-friendly celebration, featuring rockets, robots, paintings, sculptures, DIY science and technology, sustainability and alternative energy, unique handmade crafts, educational workshops and presenters, music and more. For more info, visit this link.

On October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Johnson-Springview Park, look out for pretty princesses, spooky ghosts and swashbuckling pirates at the sixth annual Rocklin Family Fall Festival. Mark your calendars for a fun day filled with costumes, trick-or-treating, hayrides, vendors and more! Show off your creativity at the Pumpkin Decorating Contest and Scarecrow Building Contest.
