Placerville, CA – El Dorado Arts Council (EDAC) hosts Dancin’ in the Street, the biggest dance event of the year. This free community festival promotes dance, health, fitness, and fun.
Dancin’ in the Street will include dance lessons, performances by local dance studios, and live entertainment that will get the crowd movin’ on the dance floor.
El Dorado Arts Council began the event in 2015 in recognition of National Dance Day. To celebrate the second year of a successful event, EDAC is bringing the festival back to Placerville with a new name, Dancin’ in the Street, and a new location -- the Bell Tower on Main Street.
Janelle Weiner, volunteer at last year’s National Dance Day is enthusiastic about the event returning to Placerville with the exciting new changes. “The vibe last year was truly electric! I loved the variety of performances and opportunities for audience participation. It was so fun to see community members kicking up their heels on the dance floor. I look forward to participating in an even bigger and better dance festival this year.”
Dancin’ in the Street will be held on 3rd Saturday ArtWalk, July 16, 2016, from 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Food, beer, and wine will be available for purchase.
