Celebrated wine experts from across the region came together to judge entries from Sierra Foothill wineries, including selections from Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Mariposa, Nevada, Placer, and Tuolumne Counties. Gold and Silver award winners will be sampled by the public at the Foothill Wine Festival on November 20. The first annual event, headed by Mike Owen—president and CEO of Crystal Basin Cellars—and sponsored by the Greater Folsom Partnership, is designed to share locally created wines with residents in the Greater Sacramento area.
