With a laid-back ambience, it’s a perfect post-hike place for a pint (or pitcher!) and a bite. Be sure to check their website for weekly specials, too, like “Burger Mondays,” “Pizza Tuesdays,” “BBQ Thursdays,” and “Fish Fridays.”

This is a popular trail for mountain biking, so listen carefully and be prepared to move out of the way. Expect crowds, especially come summertime. Dogs are welcome, when leashed, but may not be a good option with the bikers. Wear shoes with traction and lots of layers; pack plenty of water and, as always, leave no trace.

On warmer days, access to the Scotts Flat Reservoir is ideal for a midway dip. There are boat rentals at the reservoir, too, and a small store for drinks. The trail has plenty of shade, nice views, and boasts enough mileage to work up a sweat (and appetite!).
