What you enjoy most about your profession: Kitchen and bath design is like a mathematical puzzle, and I love putting all the pieces together to create warm, modern, and functional spaces.

You started your business, because: My husband was tiring of my constant remodeling and said it was time I spent other people’s money! In all seriousness, this is true, but I also wanted to do something that tapped into both my analytical and creative sides.

Fun fact about your company: My only assistants are my two pups—Quinn and Casey—and they aren’t very efficient.

Customer service is: A differentiator in business. It’s one of the most important pillars, along with honesty and integrity.

First job: Kentucky Fried Chicken. I don’t recommend it!

Favorite food: Mexican.

Favorite local restaurant: I love the Palm Springs vibe at Shangri-la.

Favorite small business: Terra Cottage.

When not working, you can be found: Hiking or snowshoeing with my pups in Tahoe.

You love living here, because: The American River Bike Trail is such a great perk that not everyone has access to.
