Triumphant Notes by Ginni Crepps

In keeping with their mission of investing in the arts as a means of promoting community well-being and economic growth, the Arts Council of Placer County (placerarts.org) awarded $41,511 to 24 deserving organizations, including the Auburn Symphony, who will use the funds to feature artists’ work (and pay them) on their upcoming season’s programs, posters, and promotional materials. Other grant recipients were Blue Line Arts, Take Note Troupe, and Northern California Dance Conservatory.

LRE & Companies, in partnership with American Hospitality, is seeking muralists to create art for its upcoming “Social Connection” project—a beer garden/gathering place in Roseville that will feature a variety of  venues, including Fieldwork Brewing Company. Artists are invited to share their mural concepts (the theme is "The Vibrancy of Northern California") via email ([email protected]) by August 1; selected artists will receive a stipend, and the artwork will be unveiled this fall.
