Marshall (marshallmedical.org), El Dorado County’s largest health care provider, unveiled their new “Smiling Stones Garden,” a unique and colorful space featuring stones hand-painted by employees from across the organization, including doctors, nurses, and administrative and support staff. Located near the east entrance to Marshall’s Placerville hospital, the project was designed to foster a sense of community and positivity.

Congrats to El Dorado County for being just one of seven counties to receive placement on the California Board of Forestry and Fire Protection Fire Risk Reduction List, which highlights local agencies that meet the state’s best practices for fire planning. Because of the designation, residents within the unincorporated area of El Dorado County are provided additional opportunities to receive discounts on their homeowner’s insurance premiums; inclusion on the list also allows the county to receive priority for select wildfire prevention grants.
