Celebrating 12 years in Placerville, The Independent Restaurant and Bar offers an outstanding dining experience. We are proud of our highly skilled kitchen staff, welcoming front-of-the-house crew and unparalleled craft bartenders.   

Our scratch kitchen uses the finest ingredients in creating exceptional fare. We source our produce from farms in Northern California and seasonal herbs from our on-site garden. Complement your dining with cocktails made with fresh juices or house-made mixers, or experience finely crafted classic cocktails made with top-tier liquors. Our bar also offers a rotating selection of beers on tap and wines by bottle or glass.

Dine al fresco on our private patio! Lunch favorites include our Ahi Niçoise Salad and Blackened Salmon Tacos. Dinner classics include our Certified Hereford Filet Mignon, Molasses-brined Pork Chop, Lemon Caper Salmon and Sunday night sous-vide Prime Rib. 

Open Wednesdays through Saturdays, 11am–9pm.  Sundays 11am–8pm. We look forward to seeing our wonderful regulars and happy new faces as well!
