Almost 3,000 people—some wearing Santa suits or Grinch costumes—participated in this sixth annual event. Before the races, runners enjoyed booths and holiday cheer in Vernon Street Town Square. Both the 5K and half-marathon raised money for Stand Up Placer, a nonprofit helping in the fight against domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
