St. John Notre Dame School

St. John Notre Dame is a TK - 8th Grade Roman Catholic parochial school and primary educational ministry of St. John the Baptist parish.
Founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in 1962, St. John Notre Dame has been teaching children what they have needed for life and proclaiming the Goodness of the good God for over 60 years. Located in Folsom, California, St. John Notre Dame is an authentic, joyful and faithful community intent on being a force of good in society, working and hoping for the salvation of souls.
SJND emphasizes a religious foundation for all students. The Catholic faith is an academic subject in its own right, and it is also integrated into all other academic disciplines and school activities. We are one of the few diocesan schools with our own Campus Minister who leads us in community outreach and service ministries.
The religion curriculum challenges students to participate in worship, act as part of a community, and realize that each person deserves love and respect. Students study scripture and learn Catholic doctrine. They prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. Students are encouraged to respond to the needs of others, live peacefully and justly, and care for God’s creation.
SJND provides a quality academic program that fosters critical thinking and competency in all academic arenas. It is the school’s goal to meet the individual needs of each student through a variety of learning experiences.
