What’s Up In March 2025: Notable Happenings in our Local Communities

Bay Area burger chain Super Duper (superduperburgers.com), whose motto is “fast food burgers, slow food values,” is opening its first Sacramento area brick and mortar this spring at 1119 Galleria Boulevard in Roseville. Expect soft serve and milkshakes made using organic Straus Family Creamery dairy and burgers crafted with sustainably farmed, vegetarian fed beef, freshly baked buns, and homemade pickles. The roughly 5,000-square-foot location will be Super Duper’s largest one to date.

The Crepe Stop (thecrepestop.com)—a destination for sweet and savory crepes, as well as gelato, acai bowls, mini pancakes, waffle pops, boba, smoothies, milkshakes, and more—opened at 1485 Eureka Road, Suite 160, in Roseville’s Stone Point Retail Plaza. The family-owned and operated eatery has an existing location in San Carlos.

Sip, snack, and relax at Rosie’s (drinkrosies.com), an intimate, inviting restaurant at 2966 State Route 49, Suite B, in Cool. In addition to rare, handpicked wines, craft drafts, and small plates (charcuterie, salads, sandwiches, roasted veggies, etc.), they also offer a quarterly wine club and bi-monthly beer club. Thanks to their sister shop, Lokl General Store (loklgeneralstore.com), they work closely with area farmers to ensure the thoughtfully curated menu features fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Indoor amusement chain Fun City Adventure Park (funcityadventurepark) is opening its first Sacramento-area site—a 34,876-square-foot space at 2868 Zinfandel Drive in Rancho Cordova. The community can look forward to attractions such as trampoline courts, playgrounds, ninja courses, foam pits, rock climbing, bumper ball, arcades, and ropes courses.
Expect both Indian-style pizzas (chicken tikka, chili paneer, and tandoori) plus traditional Italian pies (Hawaiian, garlic chicken, and combination), in addition to wings, “sticks,” desserts, and beverages like mango lassi and rose milk—all crafted using premium ingredients—at Desi Pizza Bite (desipizzabite.com). Opening at 512 Main Street in Placerville, the approximately 4,000-square-foot outpost is scheduled to open this month.

Movita Juice Bar (movitajuicebar.com), an emerging, socially responsible franchise that specializes in raw juices, smoothies, acai bowls, wellness shots, nutritional supplements, healthy toasts, functional beverages (such as kombucha and mushroom powder-infused matcha), and more, is opening this summer at 6700 Lonetree Boulevard, Suite 600, in Rocklin's Blue Oaks Town Center.

Auburn-based microbrewery Knee Deep Brewing Co. (kneedeepbrewing.com), beloved for their award-winning, high-quality, consistently good IPAs and other beer styles, is expanding to Folsom this spring. The 3,991-square-foot taproom, sited at 2793 East Bidwell Street, Suite 100, in Broadstone Plaza, also plans to serve upscale, farm-to-fork pub grub.

Trailblazer Craft Pizza & Brews (trailblazerpizza.com), known for their perfect pizza combos named after hiking trails, house-made crust with specialty sauces, plus wings, tacos, sandwiches, salads, burgers, and regularly rotating craft taps, is opening at 2500 Bell Road in Auburn’s Crossroads Shopping Center. The family-owned business, which has an existing location in Grass Valley, is expected to open later this spring.
